PIAS module: Maxchain
This module is developed to compute maximum allowable anchor chain forces for an Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessel (AHTS). To this end three specific anchor handling stability criteria have been pre-programmed: Norwegian Maritime Directorate (NMD, 2007), Bureau Veritas (BV, 2014) and IMO Intact Stability Code (IS, 2020). Maxchain can handle the anchor roller at the stern or at the bow, and produces not only tabular output, but also a nice a polar plot.
