The third quarter of 2026 saw another strong period for LOCOPIAS, with installations across an impressive variety of vessel types. From inland waterway tankers and general cargo vessels to container ships and specialized vessels, the latest deliveries highlight the versatility of LOCOPIAS across the maritime industry.

Among this quarter’s installations are two vessels that stand out from the usual commercial fleet: the Atlantis and the Atlas, both sailing cargo vessels.
Sailing cargo vessels represent an interesting approach to modern shipping, combining cargo transport with wind propulsion. As the maritime industry explores ways to reduce emissions and improve energy efficiency, these vessels demonstrate how wind can once again play a role in commercial cargo operations.
